Biography

C.Sukanya is a carnatic vocailist and is the daughter and disciple of Sangeethakalanidhi Sri D.K.Jayaraman and is niece of the carnatic legend PADMA VIBUSHAN Smt D K Pattammal .

She had vigorous training under the tutelage of her father and has performed various concerts along with her father in India. She had participated in World concert tour in 1985 in France along with her guru and father D.K. JAYARAMAN and performed solo concerts also .

Toured France for the festival of INDIA AND AUTUMN FESTVAL IN FRANCE in 1983 . IN toured to USA and CANADA along with her guru and father SANGITA KALANIDHI SHRI D.K.JAYARAMAN. and gave vocal support . Her brother KALAIMAMANI J.VAIDHYANATHAN played mridangam for those concerts. Gave SOLO concert also in USA & CANADA. She had performed in almost all the PRESTIGIOUS sabhas in CHENNAI city.

Recently on june 4 & 5 th of 2011 sukanya performed in centre mandapa paris , france ina carnatic
Nights festival which got standing ovation for her. She was accompanied by her brother kalaimamani shri
j.vaidhyanathan on the mridangam and violin by smt.poorna vaidhyanathan.

She performed in THIRUMALA ONJAL SEVA SIX TIMES.It is a great opportunity and blessings. The dates are june 10 & 31 dec in 2011, jan 30 & april 20 & 21 in 2012.I request u to kindly give me an opportunity to sing in AMMAVARU ONJAL SEVA.I seek ammavarus blessings
