About the Event

Celebrating the birthday of Thiru Kalki Ra Krishnamurthy, an eminent story teller, novelist and one who was in the forefront as a freedom fighter and who purposefully fought for the cause of Tamil Isai - his memorial trust conferred the Kalki Krishnamurthy memorial awards on vocalist Bharath Sundar and  Ghatam artiste Krishna. This memorable event was held at Raga Sudha Hall. Thiru Pandiarajan, Tamil Nadu’s Minister for Tamil Official Language and Tamil Culture, gave away the awards.


This event was followed by a concert of Bharath Sundar. B Ananthakrishnan accompanied him on the violin, Sumesh Narayanan on the mridangam and S Krishna on the Ghatam.
